Abstract

Pembelajaran bahasa Inggris yang konvensional sering kali kurang efektif, khususnya dalam mengajarkan irregular verbs kepada siswa kelas 7 di MTs Fahul Jannah. Penelitian pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap penggunaan irregular verbs melalui media visual berupa adegan film Coco. Dengan metode action-based learning yang mengintegrasikan pemutaran film, diskusi interaktif, dan latihan kelompok, siswa diajak memahami bentuk-bentuk kata kerja tidak beraturan dalam konteks nyata yang menarik. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan minat belajar siswa secara signifikan, ditandai dengan meningkatnya partisipasi aktif, kerjasama antar siswa, serta terbentuknya local leaders yang memotivasi teman-temannya. Program ini tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa Inggris, tetapi juga mendorong perubahan sosial yang positif dalam lingkungan sekolah.
