PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN DAN KETERAMPILAN PETANI DALAM MEWUJUDKAN LAHAN TERBUKA HIJAU BERWAWASAN LINGKUNGAN DI KELURAHAN KACA, KABUPATEN SOPPENG

Kelurahan Kaca di Kecamatan Marioriawa, Kabupaten Soppeng, mengalami permasalahan lingkungan serius, khususnya pada area permukiman petani yang tidak memiliki lahan terbuka hijau dan sistem pembuangan air limbah yang memadai. Melalui program pengabdian kepada masyarakat, tim dosen Universitas Negeri Makassar melaksanakan pelatihan bagi 15 kepala keluarga petani. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam menciptakan lahan terbuka hijau yang sehat dan berwawasan lingkungan. Kegiatan meliputi penyuluhan, pelatihan teknis, pendampingan pembuatan lahan hijau, serta evaluasi hasil. Hasilnya, seluruh peserta memahami konsep openspeace, mengenali alat dan bahan, serta mampu membuat lahan terbuka hijau secara mandiri. Program ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas lingkungan permukiman dan kesehatan masyarakat.
