PEMBERDAYAAN SANTRI DALAM MENINGKATKAN TARAF EKONOMI MELALUI UPGRADING ENGLISH COMPETENCE OF SPEAKING

Abstract

Program pengabdian ini bertujuan memberdayakan santri di Yayasan Pendidikan Ekonomi dan Sosial Ngajio Mugi Aji, Banyuwangi, melalui peningkatan kompetensi berbicara bahasa Inggris sebagai sarana meningkatkan peluang ekonomi. Program dilaksanakan selama tiga bulan dengan pendekatan partisipatif dan komunikatif, melibatkan 25 santri dalam pelatihan speaking intensif, role-play, gamifikasi, dan pembelajaran kontekstual. Kerangka teori yang digunakan meliputi prinsip Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT), dan teori pemberdayaan berbasis komunitas, yang menekankan integrasi keterampilan hidup dalam pendidikan keagamaan. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dari level CEFR A1 ke A2/B1, peningkatan rasa percaya diri, serta motivasi untuk mengeksplorasi peluang ekonomi seperti pemandu wisata, kerja lepas daring, dan pembuatan konten dakwah digital.
